FORMAL SCIENCES

v5_15

REALITY AS WE KNOW IT

The formal sciences were one of the earliest types of human inquiry, and in many ways, describe the underlying structure of phenomena studied by other fields. While they differ from most scientific inquiry in that they often do not use empirical methods (i.e. experiment and observation), the goal is to better understand core principles that hold true across sciences and philosophies.
